On June 25, 2025, the Tax Department issued Notification No. 418/TB-CT on the temporary suspension of certain electronic tax systems to implement information technology system upgrades. These upgrades support the restructuring of tax authorities in line with the two-level local government model and the implementation of new tax regulations effective from July 1, 2025.

According to the notification, the Tax Department will temporarily suspend the operation of several electronic tax systems to serve the upgrade and transition process. The specific details are as follows:
1. Electronic Information Portal for Foreign Suppliers
Status: Continues to operate normally.
2. Official Website of the Tax Department
3. Application for Management of Tax Procedure Service Providers (THI)
4. E-Commerce Information Portal
5. Information Portal for Business Households, Individuals Conducting E-Commerce and Digital Platform Businesses
6. Electronic Tax Application (eTax)
7. Electronic Tax Application for Individuals (iCanhan)
8. Mobile Electronic Tax Application (eTax Mobile)
9. Information Exchange Portals for External Units and Organizations (DataHub/GIP/T2B)
Status: The above systems (items 2 to 9) will be temporarily suspended from 18:00 on June 27, 2025 to 08:00 on July 1, 2025.
10. E-Invoice System
Status: Temporarily suspended from 00:00 to 03:00 on July 1, 2025.
11. Internal Tax Sector Management System (including the e-invoice module for tax officials)
Status: Only data query functions for data handover will remain accessible.
During the upgrade period, tax authorities will continue to receive and process administrative tax procedures directly at the One-Stop-Shop counters or via postal services. However, during the temporary suspension period, services may be interrupted, potentially affecting processing times and result delivery. The Tax Department sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience and kindly asks for taxpayers’ understanding.
