Update on Taxpayer Address Based on New Administrative Units – Guidance from Regional Tax Sub-Department II

On June 27, 2025, the Regional Tax Sub-Department II of Ho Chi Minh City issued Notification No. 11984/TB-CCTKV02 regarding the update of taxpayer address information in accordance with the new administrative area classification (at provincial and communal levels), as applied in the tax sector's data management system.

This notification was issued to implement the provisions of the following:

  • Resolution No. 76/2025/UBTVQH15 of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly,
  • Resolutions No. 125/NQ-CP and 126/NQ-CP dated May 9, 2025, of the Government,

regarding the reorganization of administrative units at the provincial and communal levels.

Important Notes:

  • The address update does not obligate taxpayers to modify their Business Registration Certificate.
  • This notification can serve as a basis for explanation when the invoice address differs from the one on the Business Registration Certificate.
  • If a taxpayer wishes to update the new address in the Business Registration Certificate, they must follow the procedures prescribed by the business registration authority.
